I am a hard working, single mother from Tyldesley. I have not been schooled in professional politics, but I have a deep passion for tackling social injustice. I want to see a strong economy that works for everyone.

I see my role as your MP to fight to ensure that the constituency of Leigh gets its fair share of infrastructure, investment and growth because these things underpin prosperity and create jobs. I believe in good jobs which pay fairly, and believe workers should enjoy fair terms and conditions.

I am passionate about our NHS and social services and will work hard to support the GM  Mayor, Andy Burnham to achieve an integrated health and social care service for the region.

There are major challenges facing our country - climate change, Brexit, international relations and welfare reform, to name but a few. In all areas, I am fighting to ensure that Leigh is at the front of the minds of decision makers.

My first priority is and always will be Leigh and its people, and I am working hard to deliver for you.
